From the 1st May 2024 Helen Middlebrook will become Operations Director for the company.
This role will involve making business-based decisions along side her production & accounts roles already held at Alan W Page & Co (Seeds) Ltd.
This appointment comes at a time when the company continues to move forward and looks to the future.
With this role comes a company Directorship.
The Managing Director will both offer advice and support to Helen.

Based at Pointon, Lincolnshire, in the heart of the East Midlands farming region, Alan W Page & Co are independent agricultural cereal & pulse processors.
We have served the seed requirements of farmers and the industry alike since we started trading in 1959 providing high grade seed to both merchants and farmers nationwide.
As of January 2022 we are now concentrating on cleaning and treating both Farm Saved and As Grown cereal and pulse seed soley.
As seed processors we pride ourselves in our high quality seed cleaning and our efficient delivery service. Our aim is to provide the best services, of the highest quality, when the customer requires, at an affordable price.
We are more than just seed cleaners and treaters, we can add added value to your parcels of grain and pulses. We can provide cleaning and treating services of both bulk and smaller seed lots, organise haulage both in and out, and we also offer a full range of laboratory tests, all of which can be tailored to your individual needs.
The Organic Standards for Food Processing protect the food constituents so that organic ingredients are used, and encourage the avoidance of unnecessary processing.
Organic labelling offers consumers confidence that their goods are produced under controlled organic standards.
A product cannot be sold as organic without organic certification covering every step of the supply chain - so there is full traceability and authenticity behind the organic label.
General Administration / Office duties to include but not exhaustive to;
Answering the phone & taking messages
Filing Photocopying
Light PA duties to the Directors
General office housekeeping
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook essential Experience in SAGE Professional Accounts software - orders and stock advantageous although full training will be given.
Clean Full UK driving licence required
Although this is a part time role initially, there will be a chance of overtime to cover holidays & sickness. 9am - 3pm (1 hour lunch) 3 days a week - which can be negotiated (total of 15 hours per week)
Due to the seasonal nature of our company no holiday is allowed to be taken between 1st August - 31st October.

At our warehouse we have 2 separate seed cleaning lines, meaning we can run 2 different species at any one time. This provides a fast and effective turn around to all our customers and we can run both pulses and cereals simultaneously In one warehouse.

We can arrange haulage inbound and outbound, or if you'd prefer to bring the seed yourself, or organise your own transport then you can. Most of our haulage inbound is carried out by local firm Richard Gratton & Son, Whaplode, who have vast experience of transporting seed. Look out for our logo on their lorries !!

We pride ourselves in employing local people and all our team have been with us for many years gaining a vast knowledge in what we do so that this can be passed onto the customer.
Harvey Page Born in the heart of Lincolnshire agriculture plays a major part in Harvey's life. Working on a local arable farm from the age of 17, a Scottish salmon hatchery on Loch Awe, followed by dairy experience on Roxholme Estates provided Harvey with a sound grounding for the future. Shuttleworth Agricultural College followed, with a National Certificate in Agriculture (NCA) and a National Certificate in Farm Management (NCFM). Harvey returned to run the seed growing farm for the A W Page business. At the age of 35 Harvey moved into the seed production side of the business, taking great pride in the quality of seed produced. Harvey is Managing Director and owner and continues to be the forefront of the A W Page business. Helen Middlebrook – Operations Director NIAB Crop Inspector (Cereals) - NIAB Seed Sampler - NIAB Seed Certification - BASIS Helen has been with the company for over 10 years and has now achieved a variety of NIAB and BASIS qualifications within the industry, she also now holds her BASIS CertCropProt (Seed Sellers). Helen comes from a farming and equestrian background and originally started at the company as an Office & Account Administrator. Helen then took on the role of Seed Production Manager 2 years ago and as of May 2024 will now be Operations Director. Hmiddlebrook@awpageseeds.com 07955204222 Warehouse Operatives Peter Ireland & Nigel George - PA1 & PA11, Counterbalance Forklift Certificate Pete has been with the company for over 50 years and has worked across the whole plant in various roles, and has a wealth of knowledge surpassed by non. Nigel is now in his 10th year at the company and has worked his way up through the different roles in the warehouse. We would also like to welcome Eddie Roberts to the warehouse team. Eddie comes from an engineering/manufacturing warehouse operative background so has fitted in very well with the team here at A W Page. The team work together well, and are always happy to help each other out in a variety of different roles across the company, making cups of tea, delivering seed, stacking bags, loading lorries, and sampling seed is all in a day's work!!
